2024 BDO Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race

For Cedars, the end of summer means the start of our busy season, which kicks off with our annual BDO Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race. We’re very proud to say that this year’s event, which was held on Saturday, September 7, raised a record $692,800 – and counting – for Cedars CanSupport, which provides programs and services that improve the quality of life of patients undergoing cancer treatments at the McGill University Health Centre, and of their families.

Over 500 paddlers, from all across Montréal and all walks of life, gathered on the Promenade Père Marquette for a full day of dragon boat racing. The atmosphere was fun and festive, and, at times, emotional, as many people paddled in honour of loved ones whom they lost to cancer.
