Origin House founder targets $1 Million for Medical Cannabis Research and Care through Cedars Cancer Foundation

Having reached the original fundraising goal of $250,000 for the Lustig Family Medical Cannabis Research and Care Fund of The Cedars Cancer Foundation, Marc Lustig, Chairman and CEO of Origin House, announced today that the new objective is to grow the fund to $1-million over the next four years.

Inaugural Gala for Cedars Cancer Centre of the MUHC raises over $1.28 million

The Cedars Cancer Foundation announced today that the Cedars Cancer Centre Inaugural Gala raised in excess of $1,285,000 dollars in support of leading-edge oncologic research, patient care and education. The December 6th gala attracted over 560 people, including members of the community, corporations, McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), McGill and Rossy Cancer Network-affiliated leaders, healthcare professionals and partners. National Bank of Canada President and CEO, Louis Vachon, served as honorary event chair while Diana Ferrara Scalia, Paola Aprikian and Daphne Tsadilas Shamie co-chaired the winter wonderland extravaganza orchestrated by Nadia Saputo.

A comfort kit for people starting chemotherapy or immunotherapy

The Eastern Quebec Cancer Association (ACEQ) is proud to announce the launch of a new service: the comfort kit. It will be given to people who are starting intravenous chemotherapy or immunotherapy at oncology clinics in Eastern Quebec. More than 3,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year, and many are in need of these treatments.
