The 2024 Cedars Auction & Raffle Soirée

The 2024 edition of the Cedars Auction and Raffle was a resounding success. Over 680 ticket holders gathered at Maison Principale on December 11 to enjoy an extraordinary selection of food and a fun and festive ambiance. We are proud to say that the event raised a total of $570,000 and counting, and, thanks to our dedicated committee members, and to Cedars Board members and friends, we sold 1,627 raffle tickets.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the MUHC Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, which provides vital programs and services to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of cancer patients and their families.

Cedars wishes to extend a huge thank you to the event co-chairs, Stella Vassallo and Chris Karambatsos, who steered the event and secured critical partnerships and donations. We also wish to thank our other committee members, Joanne Pizzino, Andrea Soueidan, Tony Aska, Emilia Cheaib Mike Flinker, Julien Cheaib, and Kevin Lutfy, who also helped us sell hundreds of tickets and obtain an incredible array of auction lots – both silent and live.

The event would not have been possible without the generosity of our main partners: Château d'Ivoire Jewelers, our Principal Partner, who have donated spectacular watches and jewelry to our raffle for over 30 years; Scotiabank, our 2024 Bar Partner; as well as The Rossy Foundation, the Amelia and Lino Saputo Foundation, UpCounting, François Rivard, Novacap, Promotions Hannah, Groupe Hypothécaire Jinco, Trans-Pro Logistics, and Desjardins. Nor would we have raised so much money without the generous donations of those who donated items to our live and silent auctions. We are also very grateful to our many food donors, who provided spectacular dishes and desserts for our guests. Finally, we wish to thank the many volunteers who gave their time to help our team orchestrate the event.

Because of everyone's generosity, we were able to put on a wonderful event while raising critical funds for supportive and palliative care at the MUHC.
