On behalf of the Cedars Cancer Foundation, we want to thank Carol for a Cure and Team RockStarr for their continued fundraising efforts benefiting breast cancer research at the Cedars Cancer Center.
This year marked Carol for a Cure’s 12th year and second time taking their event online for a special video compilation of choir member messages, past performances, and even an original Christmas song composed by Charli and Choirmaster Rick!
The funds raised this year will be donated to Dr. Catalin Mihalcioiu Research and Care Fund at the Cedars Cancer Foundation.
Formed in the fall of 2009 when Rochelle Barr was diagnosed with breast cancer her daughter, Zoë Mintz decided to fundraise for breast cancer in her mother’s honour. Zoe Mintz, along with other family members and close friends formed Team RockStarr. The team’s name is homage to Barr’s nickname, the Rock, and the team’s mascot Starr, a standard poodle.
Thank you all who tuned into the broadcast and supported Carol for a Cure in their mission to find a cure for breast cancer. The Cedars Cancer Foundation and TeamRockstarr share the same hope of once again caroling in the streets of Montreal next year!
