Spreading Warmth for the Cause
Two years ago, almost to the day, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the last year, in my process of healing, I started to knit the only thing I know how to make: scarves. This October, as we celebrate breast cancer awareness, I decided to sell my scarves and to offer all the money raised this way to support the mission of Cedars CanSupport, at the Cedars Cancer Centre.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis and going through treatment is life changing. It is a challenge, for both patients and survivors, as well as for their families and caregivers. I had the opportunity to received support from Cedars CanSupport while undergoing my own struggle with cancer. So has my family. I am extremely grateful for the understanding, the compassion, the encouragements, and the resources that I was offered and feel blessed that I have this opportunity to give back. Winter is near. My hand knitted scarves will keep you warm or make nice gifts for loved ones 😊, all the while making a difference in the life of so many of us, who rely on the services offered at Cedars CanSupport to bring some relief into their days. Thank you so much!
