The Cedars Cancer Foundation is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Kris Jardon
a skilled surgeon and compassionate gynecologic oncology physician, a talented and dedicated researcher and a highly valued teacher.
His contributions to the field of cancer,— including many clinical trials, the DOVEEgene study, PapSEEK Test, and the invaluable training of countless residents and fellows,—will have an enduring impact on patients and families. He was a friend to all and we, at Cedars, feel fortunate to have been able to share his enthusiasm for improving cancer prevention and outcomes. He was an avid participant in our annual fundraising event, the Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer, and he also competed with his colleagues in the Montreal Esprit Triathlon and raised money for the Cedars Cancer Centre.
That cancer took Dr Jardon’s life strengthens our resolve to do everything in our power to end the pain and suffering that this disease causes; these are challenging times, but we remain steadfast to our commitment to the community. We join Dr Armen Aprikian and the whole team at the Cedars Cancer Centre in expressing our heartfelt condolences to his children whom he adored, Samuel and Hannah, and to his parents, sister and friends. We thank Dr Jardon’s family for sharing him; his caring manner, selflessness and generosity will always be remembered.
