Peter Abraham Cedars Surgical Oncology Fellowship Fund

The Cedars Cancer Foundation and the family of the late Peter Abraham are pleased to announce the creation of the Peter Abraham Cedars Surgical Oncology Fellowship Fund at the Cedars Cancer Centre at the MUHC. Our goal is to create a $1,5 Million endowment to be held in perpetuity in order to recruit and train top world-class surgical oncology Fellows on an annual basis annually who would help in the delivery of world-class clinical surgical cancer care at the MUHC.

Peter was a dedicated volunteer, philanthropist, and business leader whose exceptional warmth, generosity, intelligence, and personal drive underpinned his friendships, his business acumen success with Simard Transport Ltd., his charitable contributions not only to Cedars but also to many causes he held dear, and his vision for a better community based on sharing and giving. He was a longstanding member of the Cedars Board of Directors and its Chair from 2006 to 2008. He also served on the MUHC Board of Directors.

One in two Canadians will face a diagnosis of cancer in their lifetime and one in four will succumb to the disease. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of loved ones will be affected.
